La Parrilla is a concept for a southwestern grill located in Phoenix, AZ. A collaborative project between graphic designers and culinary students at Johnson & Wales University, I created this branding based on attributes proposed by the culinary team. The word “la parrilla” means “grill” in English. I was really drawn to add a representation of a grill without creating an actual image of one - hence, the line throughout the masthead and the fire icon.
